Beaufort
Castle Corr Restaurant, Beaufort Golf Club
(5 minutes drive through the village on the Killorglin road)
Newly refurbished in 2026 the restaurant offers a good range of pub food including burgers fish and vegetarian dishes. Open from Tuesday- Sunday 9am-8.30pm

Moriarty’s Heather
(5 minutes drive. Turn left out of the drive and keep going straight until you reach it on the right at the mouth of the Gap of Dunloe)
Friendly family run restaurant specialising in locally sourced ingredients. Open during the day with options of pre-prepared food delivered to the house. Does an excellent Sunday Brunch.

Hotel Europe
(on Killarney road the right at the end of the Fossa straight)
The Hotel Europe offers two excellent restaurants, both open 7 days a week. The Brasserie on the ground floor and Riva , an Italian themed restaurant offering very good pizzas on the lower floor near the health centre.
Neither take bookings so early arrival is advised.

Excellent fish and chip restaurant with takeaway and eat in options – they also have a branch in Killorglin.

The Mad Monk
The Monk is part of the Quinlan’s Fish empire. Offering more luxurious surroundings and a more ambitious menu than the Quinlan’s fish and chip shops but still with a very fish centric menu with only a couple of non fish options. Very good, booking recommended.

A very good Thai restaurant in Beech Road off New Street. The interior is beautiful and the duck curry and seafood dishes are particularly good.

Jack’s
Seafood restaurant – with a couple of meat/vegetarian choices – situated in the seaside village of Cromane, about 15 minutes beyond Killorglin. The fish and shellfish are excellent. In particular the mussels, gathered locally are superb – not a cheap evening but terrific quality.

Kenmare (45 minutes drive)
Has a number of good restaurants – Sheen Falls Lodge (Tel: 00 353 64 6641600) is an excellent hotel restaurant and Packies (Tel: 00 353 64 664 1508) is also very good. The Lime Tree has very good food and friendly service (Tel: 00 353 64 664 1225)
The Boathouse at Dromquinna Manor Hotel.
Just outside Kenmare on the Sneem Road. Spectacularly sited on the shore of Kenmare Bay the Boathouse offers a menu specialising in seafood and is an excellent place for lunch if you are doing the Ring of Kerry drive. Highly recommended.

Helen’s Bar
Beautifully situated pub restaurant on the shore of Kenmare Bay at Kilmakillogue on the Beara Peninsula. Many guests who have made the trip consider the Beara Peninsular a better drive than the Ring of Kerry – the Healy Pass in particular is unmissable.

The Fish Box
Situated on the hill beside Dick Mack’s famous bar The Fish Box is run by a family who also have trawlers and the fish is of the highest quality – the chips are good too!
